TAKE A PICTURE
Check out “Panopticum,” a gallery group show with museum-caliber names, curated by Kevin Moore, at the Robert Miller Gallery. Along with a new large-scale dystopian installation by Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe commissioned by the gallery, the show includes pieces by Cindy Sherman, Taryn Simon, Tricia Lawless Murray, and Robert Beck, among others. Taking its name from a 19th-century Viennese wax museum-style horror show, the exhibit touches on society’s fascination with rubber-necking when it comes to things, like crime dramas, botched plastic surgery, and other lurid topics.
