READY FOR SPRING

Now that it’s finally starting to feel like spring, New York City is getting into high gear for spending more time outdoors. The parks department is busy at work replacing hundreds of picnic tables and lifeguard stands damaged by Hurricane Sandy, while the bike-share program, launching in May, has finally installed kiosks around the city. The New York Times reports, “In a very short time, the city’s long-anticipated bike share program is scheduled to make its debut, allowing New Yorkers to pick up and deposit rental bikes at hundreds of locations.” Just in time for Bike Month (hopefully)!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

November certainly started out with a huge reminder of everything we have to be thankful for, namely good friends, kind neighbors, and supportive families. As we bounce back from Sandy, this is an especially appropriate time to show our appreciation. Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who headed out to the hardest hit places to help, thank you to everyone who donated money, and thank you to all the people who make this such an incredible and inspirational place to be every day. Thank you, New York City!
