Twelve more days of gift guides, 12 more days of warm cocoa at holiday markets, and 12 more days to decide who’s still on your A-list—and who’s not. Now we’ll take those 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords-a-leaping, and 9 ladies dancing for an off-the-hook holiday party (oh, and those 5 gold rings to accessorize our parties dresses), but for the rest, we’re thinking more fashionably and more practically. What’s on your wish list? The countdown to the holidays is on 12, 11, 10…

Our girl Jane is heading down to Miami this week with what seems like half of NYC to partake in the Art Basel Festivities. Check out a few things Jane is hoping to hit up while down there.

So, I’m sooo excited to be heading down to Basel this week for a little sophisticated escape before the holidays with family. Jack & I had a relaxing weekend in The Catskills and now I’m ready to hit the town (that’d be Miami Beach!) with the girls for a big dose of art, fashion and nightlife. There’s too many things I’d like to see to list, but here are a few (aside from the official events at the Convention Center). Hope to see you down there!
WYNWOOD ARTS DISTRICT
This is basically where the cool kids go to avoid the bougie crowds that Basel now attracts. There’s a ton of independent galleries and exhibitions go on and a lot of nightlife. A great restaurant here is Wynwood Kitchen & Bar. 2550 N.W. 2nd Avenue, Miami FL 33217 (Personally recommend the Ropa Vieja Empanadas and ceviche). And you should also definitely check out Wynwood Walls.
SCOPE ART FAIR |110 N.E. 36 St. at Midtown Blvd.
An incubator for emerging talent and the anchor for Midtown Miami’s independent art fairs that run concurrently with Basel.
ART MIAMI | The Art Miami Pavilion is at 3101 NE 1st Avenue.
It is the original and longest-running contemporary art fair in Miami and provides an intimate look at some of the most important work at the forefront of the international contemporary art movement.
CONTEXT ART MIAMI | Located adjacent to Art Miami.
Miami’s newest international emerging and cutting-edge art fair will feature a curated group of 65 international galleries representing exceptional emerging and mid-career cutting-edge artists, including solo artist installations, immersive environments, curated projects and multimedia exhibits in a state-of-the-art, 45,000 square-foot pavilion directly (Banksy will be on featured in a cool photo wall display).
FDR | New speakeasy at the Delano Hotel. World famous DJs and great drinks. (Also, if you’ve never been to the Delano, you can have a great night with friends at the Rose Bar).
SKY BAR | At the Shore Club. Same deal, great DJs, cocktails, great to hang out. The Redroom Garden Bar is one of my favorite places, it’s an great outdoor/courtyard lounge.
