AMERICAN SONGBOOK
From country to rock, from bluegrass to jazz, American popular music is vast and genre-spanning. Lincoln Center kicks off its annual series spotlighting the best and the brightest musical performers with Broadway darling Lea Salonga. Born in the Philippines, this dazzling soprano picked up a Tony award for her role in “Miss Saigon” and also played Fantine in “Les Miserables” (the same role now being played by Anne Hathaway on the big screen), and the heartbroken Eponine, too. Versatile and captivating, tonight she returns to the New York stage for a very special night.
