FACEBOOK FACE-OFF
Does the thought of being unwittingly tagged in an incredibly
unflattering photo make your chest tighten? Do you compulsively check
the post-event coverage of your friend’s birthday parties to make sure
you haven’t been caught looking bad—and worse, identified? Apparently,
you’re not alone. According to recent survey by the Center for Eating
Disorders at Sheppard Pratt posted on Allure.com “nearly half of the
600 respondents reported pressure to look ‘camera ready’ at social
events” and 51 percent felt more self-conscious about their bodies
because of FB photos. Yikes!
