ACROSS THE UNIVERSE
If you sang your way through “Across the Universe” four years ago,
then you won’t want to miss tonight’s special Beatles extravaganza at
the IFC Center. In his captivating 90-minute, multimedia presentation,
“A Trip Through Strawberry Fields,” composer-producer Scott Freiman
delves into the production and innovation of three classic Beatles
songs, including John Lennon’s 1967 groundbreaking single and Paul
McCartney’s “Penny Lane.” Explains Freiman, “There’s a reason why the
Beatles’ music continues to strike a chord with new generations of
fans, 40 years after their last recording.”
